Queer Ecologies: A Primer!

Queer Ecologies: A Primer!
Thursday 21 September 2023, 2 – 3.30pm
Project Space 2, 2nd Floor, GSASA Building

Does queerness exist in nature? How does science keep the gates of sexual diversity? Who are your queer multispecies kin? Come explore some of the many ways that sexuality and gender show up in other species, from fungi to birds to flowers. Join a talk, games and discussions, led by a renegade plant scientist and an anarchic seed keeper. Discover how queering ecologies offers new ways of being together and climate justice for all of our kinfolk. This workshop will be facilitated Dr Emily May Armstrong and Dr Rowan Lear. The workshop is open to all but will centre the perspectives and experiences of LGBTQIA+ and questioning folk.

Free booking. Tickets available from 4th September 2023.
