Nail salons, shops and bars, have historically been places women come together. They are places of work, consumption and art.

This workshop we will be dissecting the act of getting our nails done, discussing its presence in African American beauty history, queer history and the feminist discussion of the beauty myth while also having the opportunity to create your own press on nails.

Led by GSA graduate Kathleen Lodge, this workshop invites everyone to come hold hand, talk amongst new people and leave part of a group, carrying art on your nails.
